The Denver Broncos (0-3) are at home in Week 4 to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-2). Denver is in danger of suffering the an 0-4 start to a season for just the fourth time in franchise history. In the Something Something Broncos podcast above John Elway Jersey White , Jess, Laurie, and I came to the conclusion that the Broncos are due for a win. The Jaguars are beatable team and with Denver being at home and truly desperate for that first win of the season, it sure feels like they will come away with this one. Game PreviewThe Broncos had opportunities to win last week on the road against the Green Bay Packers, but three critical errors that resulted in turnovers on led to fourteen points for Aaron Rodgers the Packers. Not all is lost, however, if the Broncos are able to start winning some games. Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 36 Broncos shoeCheck out the new Broncos shoe from Nike! The Broncos are have also a good, solid week of practice. Head Coach Vic Fangio was smart enough not to fall into that trap that turned his predecessor, Vance Joseph, into a “Had Good Practice” meme. “It’s been good,” Fangio said of the teams mood this week. “These guys are good to work with. I don’t want to paint the picture that they’re OK with it, but the work this week has been really good.”They need this win. Then they need to go into California and steal one from Philip Rivers and the Los Angeles Chargers the following week. Then they need to put the beat down on the Tennessee Titans before they face the ever-dangerous Kansas City Chiefs. That is my ideal next three weeks for the Denver Broncos. That line has remained steady all week and, as of this writing, remains the same. The over/under is a paltry 37.5 for this game.Matchup HistoryThe Broncos have surprisingly struggled against the Jaguars in the 25 years that franchise has existed. They are all knotted up at 6-6, but there are two games that matter the most to Broncos Country. The first came during the 1996 playoffs when the Jaguars broke our hearts, while the second came nearly one year later to the day when Denver crushed Jacksvonille in the playoffs on their way to the franchises first Super Bowl title. Ironically, every game the Jaguars have won in this series has been by one score, while all but one win for Denver has been by multiple scores. Here’s to a blowout win on Sunday!Hot ReadsMHR RadioWe have a new podcast schedule for the regular season. Please subscribe and check in every weekday morning for a new MHR Radio show. Details here. Adam and Ian were all about the sacks and turnovers on MHR Radio this week. It’s time for the defense to break through on Sunday. Kevin Gillikin on Broncos & Bratwurst thought that maybe Emmanuel Sanders was having a cry to be traded to a better team with his ‘world of suck’ comments Womens Royce Freeman Jersey , but it looks like it might have been Fangio himself who said it. Luke Patterson of Broncos on the Rox was all about Rich Scangarello and how he must attack the Jaguars sack-happy defensive line to keep them guessing and out of Joe Flacco’s face. Noah Fant tested better than Courtland Sutton at the CombineBrian Spurlock-USA TODAY SportsWhen the Denver Broncos selected Noah Fant in the first round last night, they got not only one of the top athletes in this year’s draft, but one of the top athletes all-time at his position in NFL Combine performance.Noah Fant, at 6’4” 249lbs tested better than Courtland Sutton did at the combine last year in most of the major drills, while 30 lbs heavier. In fact, in the last ten years, Fant’s vertical jump is top five among not only all tight ends, but also all wide receivers over 220lbs. His 3-cone time ranks top 10 in that regard as well. The closest tight end comparison athletically over the years of combine data to Noah Fant is Jared Cook. Both Cook and Fant ran in the 4.5 40 yard dash range, and had near 40” vertical jumps at around 250lbs. Furthermore, Fant bested Cook in the broad jump, and his 3-Cone time is top five among all tight ends in over ten years of combine data.Denver got an truly elite athlete in Noah Fant, and a great mismatch piece to add to Rich Scangarello’s new offense. I can’t wait to see him out there in the orange and blue.
